Honoring the courage and strength of the military spouse and family - moms & dads, husbands & wives, sons & daughters, etc.  - of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  Those of the past laid a foundation, those of the present will build it higher, and those of the future will reach for the sky.  

The history of the military spouse & family is a story of giving of self and overcoming numerous obstacles to support their service members, fellow military families, and country.  Our mission is to memorialize the noble spirit and timeless contributions and bring all generations of military families together.

When Martha Washington...organized sick wards for wounded soldiers and made visits to battlefields to boost the morale of the troops, she volunteered for a cause bigger than herself.  Through many conflicts, America's war fighters have counted on their spouses for love and support. Throughout the years, as the numbers of our married men and women in uniform have grown and as their military missions have become more complex and dispersed, their spouses have made countless personal sacrifices to support the Armed Forces. In many instances, they subordinated their personal and professional aspirations to the greater benefit of the service family. Responding to the call of duty, they frequently endured long periods of separation or left familiar surroundings and friends to re-establish their homes in distant places. And there they became American ambassadors abroad.
As volunteers, military spouses have provided exemplary service and leadership in educational, community, recreational, religious, social and cultural endeavors.
